PILGRIMAGE

Every year, the Catholic G. K. Chesterton Society leads a group of pilgrims out of London, up the Grand Union Canal and through the countryside, from the church Chesterton was baptised in at Notting Hill, to the cemetery he was buried in at Beaconsfield.

Get Involved

You can get involved by:

  1. Joining us in person in one of these ways:

    • Walk with us the whole 27 miles​

    • Walk with us part of the route

    • Pray with us at Mass

  2. Joining us spiritually through prayer​

  3. Sponsoring our pilgrims!

Joining in Person

To join us in person, you can meet us at these locations:

7.15 am at St George's Church, Aubrey Walk for all 27 miles

9.00 am at Ealing Old Town Hall for 21 miles

1.30 pm at The Malt Shovel, Uxbridge for 8-9 miles

2.30pm at the Bridgettine Convent, Iver Heath for Mass, followed by tea and coffee, and if you want to walk, for the final 6 miles.

Joining us Spiritually

First of all, you can say the Chesterton prayer on the day.

Additionally, you can send any prayer intentions you have before the pilgrimage to catholicgkcsociety@yahoo.co.uk and we will carry them with us on the walk!
